The purpose of this study is to investigate the experiences of middle-school physical education (PE) teachers who have supervised school sports club competitions. The target population for this research is focused on PE teachers working in middle schools located in province "J". Five PE teachers who are enthusiatic about supervising of school sports club competition and have at least 2-years of related experience were selected as participants in this study. Participatory observation, interviewing, and research journal preparation were conducted as the main data collection methods. The conclusions resulting from the study are as follows. The PE teachers' experiences of supervising school sports club competition were categorized into several sub-themes: growth through sport competitions (enhanced professionalism, self-pride as a teacher, formation of good relations), a teacher's sacrifice and conflicts (weakening teamwork, conflicts with needs of teachers), regrets involving competition management (isolation of unpopular sporting event, one-time event, poor competition management), and expectation of teachers (transformation from 'mere sporting competition' to 'social gathering', expansion of school sports club competition as a local sports league, operation of an organization dedicated to school sports club competition). School sports competions should go beyond mere competitions and be a site of sporting culture that provides fun, satiscation, pleasure, and memories. For the successful school sports club competition to become more established at the middle-school level, diverse opportunities should be given to motivate students to participate in school sports club competitions along with stable operations thereof; in this regard, greater attention and support by the Department of Education are required. In order to maintain and promote the values of school sports club competitions, policy-based support should be made available to the PE teachers as they are the ones that closely interact with the students, which should in turn, ensure the development of school sports club competitions.
