본 연구는 발달장애인의 사회적 차별경험이 도전적 행동에 미치는 영향력을 파악하고 부모-자녀 간 긍정적 의사소통의 조절효과를 검증하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 설문은 2015년 9월 7일부터 9월 25일까지 총 18일 동안 진행되었으며, 경기도 장애인가족지원센터 회원(발달장애인 자녀를 둔 보호자) 220명을 대상으로 조사를 실시하였다. 자료는 우편조사로 진행되었고, SPSS 24.0 프로그램을 이용하여 위계적회귀분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 발달장애인의 사회적 차별경험이 도전적 행동에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 이러한 영향은 부모-자녀 간 긍정적 의사소통에 따라 달라지는 것으로 확인되었다. 즉, 사회적 차별경험이 도전적 행동에 미치는 영향에서 부모-자녀 간 긍정적 의사소통의 조절효과가 검증되었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 발달장애인의 도전적 행동을 감소시킬 수 있는 정책-실천적 함의를 논의하였다.
The current study aims to examine the moderating effects of positive parent-child communication in the associations between social discrimination experience and the challenging behaviors of people with developmental disabilities. For the purpose, the current study surveyed 220 parents of people with developmental disabilities in 2015 and analyzed the data using hierarchical regression via SPSS. The analysis revealed that social discrimination experience had effects on the challenging behaviors of people with developmental disabilities, and positive parent-child communication moderated the associations. Based on the results, we suggested policy and practice implications to reduce the challenging behaviors of people with developmental disabilities.
