In the ‘education gap’ study, there is confusion among educators about context and concepts. According to the “education gap” study, “education gap” is used as a substitute for various school-related differences, such as academic achievement, educational background gaps. It is explained by borrowing the socio-economic gap, sociological analysis of gaps between regions and classes. In this context, ‘education’ becomes a means for acquiring status, moving classes, realizing social equality, and solving social inequality problems. For the study of the ‘education gap’ we need to figure out what ‘education’ is. To know the concept of the “education gap,” one should know the unique phenomenon, “education.”
