Museums utilize tangible and intangible culture that can introduce various forms of history and culture from prehistoric and ancient times to modern and contemporary times as exhibit objets. This study particularly looked into current conditions to observe how modern and contemporary culture related data is being approached and exhibited and inspections were made on the significance of exhibits and improvement plan for collect and use tangible․intangible cultural data in the Busan Regional Museum. Exhibits utilizing oral statements effectively deliver exhibit topics using stories that embrace relevant objets and they are a direction method that brings focus to related characters. Of the various characteristics of oral statements, descriptions reveal region, age, class·stratum, gender identity and allow ‘culture’ to be encountered, understood, and interpreted through the subjective stories of individual experiences. Also, they form relationships among people who have been disconnected due to limitations of time and space and allow for communication, being effective in restoring fragmented location memories. Museums make observations by subdividing local identity into layers of various stages through exhibits that utilize oral statements and further, spectators that are local residents actively search for and materialize topics that can be communicated with diverse generations and outside spectators. Therefore, relevant museums should conduct in-depth research on the representative modern and contemporary times tangible·intangible cultural data of the region.
