The purpose of this study is to develop a general basic curriculum for college using art works. It is also to understand the culture of the era through the work of art which might be the essence of the culture of each period, and to understand what kind of creative possibility the growing human being could unfold and realize in the epochal and socio-cultural background through the lives of human beings who lived in the culture. Based on this, it is to contribute to the development of life wisdom and humanistic literacy that can diagnose and solve the current problems of life or reality from an educational point of view. The research proceeded as an action research which can grasp the meaning only when experienced directly in the field of education, and its method was based on art-based education considering the expansion of understanding by art. The works of art used in the class were carefully selected based on the association with the lesson subject, the objectivity of the work itself, and the efficiency of learning activities. As a result of the study, it was confirmed that the lesson itself using works of art is the students work of art . The works of art in learning activities was an effective medium of class contents, and played an important role in inducing motivation to learn by attracting excitement and interest in classes. In addition, it was very positive for understanding the contents of the class and a meaningful result was gained that provided an opportunity for reflection on the students themselves. As a result, the work of art of learners as the curriculum was found out to be the source of creative thinking formation seeking a new educational meaning and value.
