This study aims to investigate the effects of school violence prevention group art therapy on the improvement of empathic abilities and peer relationships quality of elementary school lower graders. This study was conducted in the experimental group of A Elementary School in Incheon on a total of 8 occasion, twice a week, using the school s discretionary hours from 2019.09.02. to 09.25. School violence prevention group art therapy program of this study was supplemented and revised empathic competence of the national-level school violence prevention program called Eo-ul-lim. The results of this study are as follows. First, school violence prevention group art therapy had a positive effect on improvement of elementary school lower graders’ empathic abilities and peer relationships quality. Second, as a result of qualitative analysis on the process and results, this research had a positive effect on of empathic abilities and peer relationships quality of elementary school lower graders. This study is meaningful in the aspect of an empirical study that proves the necessity of school violence prevention group art therapy on the class unit.
