The purpose of this paper was to analyze the characteristics, influencing factors, and growth patterns of students with academic resilience. The analysis data were utilized from 2,698 students data of 「Gyeonggi Education Panel Study: GEPS 2012 (2015-2018)」 conducted by Gyeonggi Institute of Education, and t-test, correlation, logistic multi-level models, and growth mixture models analysis were used. The results were as follows.
First, the results showed that individual characteristic variables, such as academic attitude, learning efficacy, subject interest, concentration of classes, and learner-centered classes, were found to be statistically high in academic resilience groups. Second, the higher the degree of effectiveness and concentration of classes, the lower the rate of subject interest, the more likely it was to belong to the early academic resilience group. Third, students with early academic resilience looked at what types of changes exist and found that very few students maintained excellent academic performance throughout the four years. Also, this group showed a sharp drop in performance after entering a high school.
