This research studied the influence of the educational concept and curriculum of Bauhaus School in Germany, which celebrated its 100th anniversary, on modern art education. Although Bauhaus opened in 1919 and closed in 1933, Bauhaus education still has a profound influence on the areas of architecture, painting, design and crafts to this day. This study focuses on 1) the meaning of the 100th anniversary of Bauhaus and the current status, 2) the purpose and curriculum of the Bauhaus school, 3) the modern influence and meaning of Bauhaus education. The meaning of the Bauhaus 100th Anniversary and the current status centered on 2019 events such as the Bauhaus-related exhibitions which held in Germany. The purpose and curriculum of the Bauhaus were studied based on the documents and archives in Berlin. The modern influence and meaning of Bauhaus education were studied based on the case studies of domestic and foreign universities curriculum. Bauhaus educational concepts, which aims for Gesamtkunstwerk, offer many implications for Korea s art education, which provides a major-oriented education even in the age of convergence. This study suggest the importance of convergence education by reillumination of Bauhaus education.
