The present study was conducted to examine the effects of a self-commitment enhancement program for youth in probation on self-commitment and self-efficacy. For this purpose, korea youth counseling utilized and fitted group counselling program for promotion of the self-commitment for youth was utilized and fitted to korea youth counseling group. the program was ever developed by korean youth counselling agency(2007). The subject of the study were 16 youths who were in agency B under ministry of law as a experimental group to verify the efficiency of the program internally and selected a group of 16 youth who were in agency S, ministry of law as a control group were selected to verify and compare the efficiency of the program. The program was administered by the present investigator himself, 80minutes per session and total 12 sessions in 6 weeks. To verify the effects of the program, the pre- and post-tests were analyzed to show the efficiency of the self-commitment promotion. ANCOVA was used by utilizing SPSS 23.0 program. Results showed that the self-commitment promote program increased youth probation self-commitment, and self-efficacy. These results suggest that the self-commitment promote program is
effective in increasing self-commitment, and self-efficacy adjustment of youth probation.
