본 연구는 중고령 발달장애인의 사회적 배제가 생활만족도에 미치는 요인을 밝히기 위하여 진행하였다. 본 연구는 장애인고용패널조사(2차 웨이브) 2016, 2017, 2018년 자료를 연결하여 사용하였다. 분석대상은 조사에 참여한 4,577명 가운데 2016, 2017, 2018년 조사에 모두 참여한 청장년 발달장애인(19~39세) 229명과 중고령 발달장애인(40~64세) 112명을 분석대상으로 삼았다. 중고령 발달장애인의 경우 주관적 경제적 지위, 주관적 건강상태, 여가활동, 장애로 인한 사회적 차별이 삶의 만족도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 청장년 발달장애인의 경우 주관적 경제적 지위, 취업상태, 주관적 건강상태, 일상생활활동 참여, 장애로 인한 사회적 차별이 삶의 만족을 예측하는 요인이었다. 조사결과에 기초하여 중고령 발달장애인을 위한 정책 및 실천적 과제에 대한 제언을 제시하였다. 본 연구는 중고령 발달장애인의 사회적 배제 경감에 기초한 삶의 만족도 증진방안 모색에 기여할 것이다.
Purpose: This study aims to identify factors of life satisfaction of the adults with developmental disabilities, focusing on the comparison between young adult and middle old-aged. Method: This study used the 2016, 2017, and 2018 data of the Panel Survey of Employment for the Disabled(PSED). Results: Among the old adults with developmental disabilities, the life satisfaction is significantly related to subjective economic position, subjective health status, leisure activity, social discrimination due to the disability. For the young adults with developmental disabilities, the life satisfaction is significantly related to subjective economic position, employment status, subjective health status, participation in everyday activities, social discrimination due to the disability. Conclusion: On the basis of the results, some suggestions on the policy and practice of the social services for disabled olders with developmental disabilities were presented. This study will contribute to the exploration of the strategies for improving the life satisfaction of elderly people with developmental disability.
