Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a behavioral disorder that manifests in childhood. Sometimes, teachers who guide ADHD children lack the required knowledge and methods for mapping the symptoms of ADHD. This study, which recommends ways to help ADHD children in schools, is aimed at understanding the character strengths of these children based on positive psychology, and to utilize them in educational and counseling activities. Accordingly, 10 teachers who guide ADHD children were analyzed in an in-depth interview using a five-point Likert scale of 24 character strengths and semi-structured questionnaires. The results determined more than one character strength in ADHD children, including inquisitiveness, authentisy, vitality/zest, optimism/hope, humor. The study is meaningful in that it provides basic data and measures to help children understand themselves positively, adapt to school, and supplement their weaknesses based on their strengths, as well as positively inform people of ADHD
children as human beings with strengths and possibilities.
