This study aimed at discovering and introducing overseas cases of Osaka University in Japan that can provide implications for online classes at domestic universities according to the COVID19 Pandemic situation. The following is a summary of teaching strategies used in online classes at Osaka University. First, the teaching strategies used for online teaching at Osaka University were focused on the organizational and social role of professors, and their competence required in online classes such as planning, teaching design skills, and content knowledge. Second, to minimize the burden of professors due to online conversion and to reduce difficulties during pre-and while-online class phases, HELP DESK , a professional support system, was operated. Third, Osaka University recommended the introduction to appropriate mental and physical health care from the class designing stage to prevent physical imbalance between professors and learners due to online class conversion. Fourth, in order to narrow the gap in higher education due to the COVID19 pandemic, Osaka University cooperated with several universities to jointly cope with it. This study is a practical-based field study that seeks to discover and demonstrate examples of experience and know-how from overseas universities to improve and develop the online education of universities.
