본 연구는 중학교 교사의 수업활동 및 교직태도가 5년 전의 교사들과 비교하여 어떻게 변화되었는지를 분석하고, 정책적 시사점을 도출하는데 목적이 있다. 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해 5년 간 격차를 두고, 중학교 교사를 대상으로 조사한 경기교육종단연구 1차년도(2012) 1,463명, 6차년도(2017) 318명의 교사 자료를 활용하였다. 분석방법으로는 5년 코호트 비교를 위해 두 집단 간 존재하는 선택 편의 문제를 해결하고, 집단 간 동등성을 확보해주는 경향점수매칭을 활용하였다. 분석 결과, 2017년 교사들의 수업활동은 교수자중심 수업이 감소하고, 학습자중심 수업이 증가한 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 본인 수업 공개, 단위학교 차원 교과협의회 활동, 교사의 자생적 연구단체 활동이 증가하고, 교육청 차원 수업 컨설팅은 감소한 것으로 나타났다. 교직태도 변화는 교과지도 교사효능감, 생활지도 교사효능감, 교사의 사기와 열의는 차이가 없고, 교직 만족도가 높아진 것으로 나타났다. 이상 분석 결과를 바탕으로 교사의 수업활동 및 교직태도 변화를 위한 정책적 시사점을 제언하였다.
This study analyzed how middle school teachers teaching activities and attitudes have changed over the past five years and propose educational policy implications. For this study, the first year (2012) and sixth year (2017) data of the Gyeonggi Education Panel Study(GEPS) survey of middle school teachers in Gyeonggi-do were used. We used the propensity score matching analysis to solve the problem of existing selection bias between 2 groups for 5-year cohort comparison and to secure intergroup equivalence. As a result, teachers teaching activities in the sixth year (2017) showed that instructor-centered classes decreased and learner-centered classes increased. In addition, the disclosure of own classes and the activities of the unit school-level curriculum council and the activities of teachers independent research groups increased, while teaching consulting at the Office of Education decreased. Changes in teaching attitude make no difference between teacher efficacy and enthusiasm, but teacher satisfaction has increased. This study suggested policy implications for changing teachers teaching activities and attitudes according to the analysis results.
