APAP showed the possibility of recovery of local community. This study started with the recognition that APAP should be continued in consideration of the developments, achievements, and educational value of local public art shown in APAP. It analyzed and diagnosed cases of local and international public art and investigated the history, present state and direction of APAP. Based on these surveys and analyzes, it was intended to propose a plan for cooperative connection between local public art and schools. As a way to cooperate with the local community this study suggests educational utilization of related institutions, provision of permanent programs. As a way of cooperation in schools, it proposed an educational policy for school-community cooperation, possibility of classes on public art, and organization and operation of ‘Public Art Education research group’. Through this study, it is expected that APAP(public art)-community-school would be organically linked, and APAP would be able to ensure continuity and vitalize as public art.
