Main purpose of this paper is to analysis the transition and current condition on the teacher training system of “subject of religion.” First, the purpose of this study is to investigate the motivation of establishing religious teacher training system in religious education at school and National Education Curriculum. Second, the system of religious teacher training started with the cultivation process according to the denomination, and it was specialized and unified through the national system. In this context, it is confirmed that the religious aspect of Buddhist religious teacher training and the specificity of education field are universal problems that arise in religious teachers of all mission schools. Therefore, it is argued that the training of religious teachers is needed not only to acquire teacher certification but also to reinforce professionalism through reeducation. It would be positive and pluralistic effects on religious education at the mission school.
