The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of safety education activities based on Buddhist Jatakas for young children on their safety problem-solving ability and safety attitude. Subjects of this study were 5 year old, 42 young children who attended in D kindergarten and B kindergarten in Gyeoungbook-Do, G province. Koh(2016)’ Scale and Oh(2012) Scale were used for this study. Collected data was analyzed by using spss 20.0 program. Reliability analysis, descriptive analysis, t-test were conducted. The results of this study are as follows. First, there were significant effects of safety education activities based on Buddhist Jatakas for young children on their safety problem-solving activities. Second, there were significant effects of safety education activities based on Buddhist Jatakas for young children on their safety attitude as well. In conclusion, it is necessary to encourage developing and using education activities based on Buddhist Jatakas for young children in fields.
