The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of developing a good mind - building program for pre - service early childhood teachers and to propose the direction of personality education and current early childhood teacher education to enhance self - esteem, emotional intelligence and empathy of future pre - The purpose of this paper is to provide. The subjects of this study were 56 students, 28 students in the experimental group and 28 students in the control group. The data collection was conducted from May 23 to June 14, 2019, twice a week for a total of six sessions. The session was held before the session started and after the session ended. The questionnaire was used to measure self - esteem, emotional intelligence, and empathy. Data were analyzed by using SPSS 24.0 for frequency analysis and pre - post – test. The results of this study were as follows: First, the program of ‘developing a good mind’ had a positive effect on self - esteem (t=3.81, p<.001) of pre - Second, there was a positive effect on emotional intelligence (t=1.76, p>.05), especially emotional regulation (t=2.29, p < .05). Third, there was a positive effect on empathy ability (t=2.11, p<.05) and a significant difference on emotional empathy ability (t=2.50, p<.05). The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of the program and the effectiveness of the program using the modern language based on religious ideology and spirit.
