이 논문은 21세기 대안적 교육패러다임으로 인식되고 있는 홀리스틱교육이 환경교육에 어떠한 시사를 하는지와 환경교육이 생태학적 사고를 통한 연계의식을 강조한다는 면에서 환경교육의 종교교육적 요소가 있음을 밝히기 위해 환경교육을 위한 구체적인 교실수업안을 밝히는 데 있다. 21세기 대안적 교육 패러다임으로 떠오르는 홀리스틱교육(holistic education)의 홀리스틱이라는 단어는 생태학적(ecological), 시스템적(systemic), 환경적(environmental)이라는 단어들과 유사한 의미를 가지고 있다. 즉 21세기 사고의 패러다임과 삶의 원리는 관계를 기본 전제로 하고 있음을 보여주는 것이다. 이 논문은 환경교육의 관계적 요소를 밝히고, 환경교육을 통한 인간 의식과 인식의 확장을 위해 에니어그램을 통하여 환경 관련 인간 내외적 요소들과 학문영역을 압축하여 제시하며, 환경교육을 통하여 환경의 중요성을 내면화시킬 수 있는 구체적인 수업안을 제시한다. 환경에 대한 깊은 내면화된 전인을 양성하기 위한 교실수업안은 홀리스틱 환경교육 교수－학습 교육과정 6단계 모형을 제시하는데, 첫째, 동기유발 과정(명상, 심상, 배경음악), 둘째, 사실 파악 과정(직관, 통찰, 객관화), 셋째, 인지과정(지각, 개념, 기억)(동기체제, 인지체제, 가치체제), 넷째, 다각적 사고 과정(논리, 직관, 심상, 은유, 역할, 창조), 다섯째, 동일화,탈동일화 과정(자기화, 일체화, 우주화), 여섯째, 피드백과정(수행평가, 성취확인)(자기이해, 자기개발, 자기실현)의 과정을 통해 각 과정에서 환경교육의 중요성과 환경의 중요성의 내면화를 위한 구체적인 수업안을 제시한다.
The Purpose of this study is to form a teaching plan of environmental education as a religious education from the viewpoints of holistic education, which is now considered as an alternative approach to modernistic education. From the viewpoint of holistic education, we need to incorporate the frame of environmental education into the perspectives in the following: 1) to emphasize a respect for life and relationships among living things; 2) To emphasize earth ecology education and earth community education; 4) To emphasize the education which integrate body, emotions, consciousness, the spirit; 5) To emphasize an environment in which teachers and students would be real or genuine their communication and meeting. Holistic education suggests transdisciplinary approach for environmental education. Following this viewpoint, this research is carried out through integrating the Gurjieff’s Enneagram into a holistic model. A 6-step model emphasized a perspective of holistic environmental education so that it fully presented holistic environmental teaching and learning mode which encompassed left-brain learning mode, right-brain learning mode, physical-sensory learning mode, and affective learning mode, to be holistically used for learners. It is also expected that the 6-step model will be effectively implemented for learners to enhance their inquiry, creativity, environmental process mind, attitudes toward mankind and universe, and to holistically develop learner’s variety abilities.
