본 연구의 목적은 아동양육시설에서 보호종료 된 청소년의 자립경험과 사회적응과정에 대해 탐색하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 A, B시 소재 A, B 아동양육시설에서 보호종료 되어 A시에 거주하는 청소년 중에서 아동양육시설에서 보호종료 된 지 4년 이상 경과한 남, 여 청소년 내담자 8명을 대상으로 하였다. 심층 면담을 통해 보호종료 후 자립경험이 어떠했으며 그들의 사회적응과정은 어땠는지를 들여다보았다. 면담자료는 Giorgi의 현상학적 연구방법을 사용하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과, ‘시설을 벗어난다는 즐거움’, ‘책임감’, ‘불안감’, ‘두려움’, ‘삶의 무게감’, ‘외로움’, ‘숨기고 싶은 과거와 부모에 대한 원망’, ‘삶에 대한 무기력’, ‘동료와 선생님의 지지’, ‘수용과 미래’등 10개의 하위 구성요소와 23개의 의미 단위가 도출되었다. 결과를 토대로 아동양육시설에서 보호종료 된 청소년에 대한 심리치료 및 사회적응 지원 방안, 후속 연구에 대한 필요성 등이 논의되었다.
The purpose of this study is to explore the independent living experience and social adaptation process of adolescents who leave child care facilities. For this purpose, 8 male and female adolescents who had been discharged from child care facilities in A, B city and who had been in child care facilities for more than 4 years were selected. In-depth interviews were conducted to examine the independent living experience after leaving the hospital and how their social adaptation process was. The interview data were analyzed using Giorgi s phenomenological research method. As a result of the analysis, 10 sub-components and 23 semantic unit were derived such as pleasure, anxiety, fear, weight of life, loneliness, resentment against past and parents who want to hide, helplessness, responsibility, support of colleagues and teachers, adaptation after receptive and future. Based on the results of this study, psychotherapy and social adaptation support measures for adolescents who left child care facilities, and the necessity of follow-up research were discussed.
