The aim of this study is to recognize the implication of the viewpoint of prenatal training of Confucianism and Buddhism. According to the aim of this study, I studied the meaning and purpose of the prenatal training of Confucianism and Buddhism, fertilization and the development of unborn child, and the practice of prenatal training. The result of this study is as follows: Firstly, the purpose of the prenatal training of Confucianism is to get a man of honor(君子) who is the ideal human being of Confucianism and Buddhism is to bear a wise and merciful human being. Secondly, both of them emphasize the third element which is spiritual existence, namely Yu-Gi(遊氣) in Confucianism and Jung-Yu(中有) in Buddhism. Thirdly, in the case of the development of unborn child, Confucianism is more concrete than Buddhism. And the method of prenatal training in Confucianism is more specific than that of Buddhism.
