This paper aimed to illustrate how group therapy affects the communication satisfaction and group cohesion of high school soccer. The participants of the study were 12 students who belonged to the High School Soccer Association in K-Gu S City in Korea and were involved in the therapy. We divided the participants into two randomly arranged groups, with the experimental group and the control group each having six members. The research was conducted via 12 sessions total of art therapy, 60 minutes per session, once a week without pre-test and post-test from May to August 2018. We selected the satisfaction of communication scale and group cohesion scale as the research tools, and the quantitative analysis of the results was measured by Wilcoxon-signed rank test on SPSS 22.0. The qualitative analysis was performed via two steps as the group art therapy is focused on the changes in every treatment step. The consequences of this study are summarized as follows. This examination has shown that the participants could not only disclose their inner conflicts but also maintain positive interpersonal relationships with their team members to communicate and interact effectively by participating in the group art therapy for the youth soccer players. It is also evaluated as a clinical study on the athletes who playing football in high school.
