The data sources were recordings of the open group art therapy process, art therapy works, recordings of the individual interviews, a diary of the research, minutes of the case meeting and family meetings, childcare operation diary, and other similar date etc. Based on the results, first, the researcher experiences a deeper understanding through the experiences of the study participants. Second, for the abused children in the shelter, the open group art therapy provides the opportunity of expressing to express themselves regarding the difficulties that they the children face undergo in the shelter, in terms of “here and now.” Third, multifaceted therapy interventions are needed in various therapy fields, including at the shelters for abused children. Based on these research results, the significance and limitations of the study were then discussed.
