This research tells about focused on the experience and underlining meaning of the salvation that the researcher felt while performing art work during her son’s cancer treatment. For this purpose, the researcher tried to vividly reveal how the art work fueled her salvation by using the narrative inquiry, qualitative research method. In the research, the artworks, photos, and written texts that the investigator worked on while caring for her son's illness from January 2021 to August 2021 were organized, and then presented them on April 12, 2022, in a case seminar for the doctoral program. Writing was then completed after the presentation that included pictures of the reaction works of fellow art therapists, written words, questionnaires, and interview materials generated from the interviews. In the process of the research, the researcher experienced the transfer of inner anxiety and confusion into hope through encounters with new media, the joy of immersion in work and the completion of works of art. The researcher also learned that the understanding and empathy of fellow art therapists is a great source of self-care and realized that art work is a gift for self-care. The salvation fueled by the art work led the art therapist to a creative source, and a self-care experience through the support of fellow art. Based on these above content, the significance and limitations of this study were discussed.
