Metaverse refers to a world(platform) in which people and objects interact and create economic, social, and cultural values in a space where virtual and real worlds are fused. Interest in the use of metaverse is increasing. The field of education is also exploring ways to use metaverse, but existing studies have limitations in that they lack empirical research and explore ways to use them from a limited perspective. The purpose of this study is to introduce cases of metaverse-based online courses. Specifically, the purpose of the study is to develop cases of metaverse-based online courses to support teachers use of metaverse in their online courses. Course cases are one of the useful teaching resources that can be used for instructional design and operation for instructors. This study explored metaverse-based online course cases of each online teacher as teaching resources by course design, course operation, and teacher reflection. In order to achieve the research purpose, the cases of online courses based on metaverse by online teachers of Korean Language English, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science. The research results provide practical metaverse-based online course design and operation strategies for each subject. The research results are expected to be used as a resource to help teachers who want to adapt metaverse in their own courses understand instructional design and operation and develop strategies for metaverse-based online courses.
