The purpose of this study was to compare the different play therapy theories in order to get the more therapeutical approach through knowing more extensive comprehension and basic knowledge about play activities in play therapy sessions. The play therapy theories of this study were Jungian play therapy, Ecosystemic play therapy, Theraplay, Adlerian play therapy, Child centered play therapy, Gestalt play therapy, Developmental play therapy. It was reviewed theoretical backgrounds, the view of psychopathology, the goals of play therapy in each theory before investigating the play activities through following three subjects. First, play therapy theories were investigated with structured or non-structured play activity according to who initiate in play sessions. Second, play therapy theories were compared with the aims of their activities. And the last, three play activities - puppet play, art activity, physical activity - were adapted by each play therapy theories.
