This study was to investigate psychological support system of Korea onto recent Sewol Ferry disaster and that of foreign countries and based on the results, to provide suggestions for building effective domestic psychological support system in disaster response. In regard to psychological support system for disaster response, recent global trends and present status of Korea and foreign countries, mainly U.S., Japan, and European countries including United Kingdom ann Germany, were examined through literature review. Based on the results of this study, discussion and implications were presented.
