Acquired disabled people do not know what sports are suitable for their disabilities, even though sports can be a very useful means for improving physical and mental disabilities and social integration. It is necessaiy to guide and train the disabled in appropriate sports. This stage is an intennediate stage between rehabilitation treatment and daily sports, and is a treatment and training stage that can improve the physical, mental, and social abilities of the disabled overall. However, in Korea, the concept of rehabilitation sports or its delivery system are not legally clearly defined. Regulations on the concept and scope of rehabilitation sports should be made in the "Act on Guarantee of Right to Health and Access to Medical Seivices for Persons with Disabilities". Germany is one of the countries that has established and implemented a rehabilitation sports system. With implications from this Gennan system, I would like to classify our rehabilitation sports delivery system into five stages. The first step is to identify the condition of the disabled and to make a doctor's prescription. The doctor's prescription is sufficient to simply need a rehabilitation sports program for the disabled, and health insurance should be applied at this stage. The second stage is to submit the doctors' prescription and data on rehabilitation treatments to local governments. The rehabilitation sports provision system is the affairs of local governments, and local governments are responsible for the overall operation of rehabilitation sports. In particular, local governments should make efforts to secure various sports centers to expand the options of the disabled. The third stage is the approval and information provision of local governments. Local governments shall convene a committee composed of doctors, rehabilitation therapists, sports experts, etc. to select the games of sports suitable for the persons with disabilities. Selected persons with disabilities shall be provided with as much infonnation as possible on available sports centers, programs, etc. The fourth stage is the issuance of vouchers and the use of rehabilitation sports programs. Disabled people experience recommended sports using vouchers issued by local governments and choose the most suitable sports. Programs for psychological stability should also be operated so that disabled people who have been intimidated by disabilities can regain confidence and actively integrate into society. The fifth stage is the extension of rehabilitation sports or the transfer of them to daily sports. If it is no longer necessaiy to take rehabilitation sports programs, it shall be supported to be transferred to sports for all. If an extension is needed, an extension must be applied by a doctor's prescription.
