Separation by death is the severest crisis for humans. Christian counseling is one of the meaningful ways to share the pain of those who face such a critical moment and to help them accept their situations from a religious point of view. In general, people are likely to take a skeptical and negative view of death and cling to life. When they are confronted with death, they become desperate, losing every hope in their own existence and lives. In effect, discussing death is not delving into death itself but looking for what they should pursue at that point of time. Christian counselors should make the right approach to death, and Christian counseling is to assist counselees to have the correct understanding of death and have their own lives more worthwhile, and this could be defined as the identity of Christian counseling. Christ died for the sake of us and resurrected to give us an eternal life, and death should be understood in that context. Christian counselors should put their efforts into helping counselees to get over their ear of death and die a meaningful death. They should see death from a Christian standpoint and make a Christian approach to that, and this is the nature of Christian counseling. Christians should make a preparation for death and live for the sake of Christ who died for human beings. It's required to spend everyday preparing for death, and this is the way to enjoy a richer life spiritually without being apprehensive of death and to lead a better life, as death is to resurrect, and is a road to eternal life.
