This article is about the personal story of a Christian feminist counselor. Born in a Christian family in a very conservative southern district of Korea, the author tells us how she was raised in a traditional way and became a feminist counselor. Since only women's unique experiences can provide the foundation of knowledge for thinking about women, her personal story contributes to the base of knowledge upon which women may be reconceptualized. Women must use the experiences of other women to evaluate their own experiences in understanding themselves and the effects that society has on them. Concerns and interests in developing Korean feminist counseling are also discussed.
