The purpose of this research is to examine factors associated with school maladjustment among adolescents with ADHD and to propose practical policies for minimizing school maladjustment. For this purpose, we carried out qualitative research on 12 parents with adolescents with ADHD. Data were collected through depth interview, observation, and documents. According to the results of this study, the conditions which affect the adolescents with ADHD who have difficulty in adapting to school were personal, family, school and social conditions. The personal condition is composed of primary and secondary symptom of ADHD, personal difference, losing interest in school life, parents’mental health, knowledge of ADHD, attitude towards ADHD, teacher’s attitude, studying education, not acknowledging characteristics of the student, dominating power, social condition of social system, not respecting others, and social recognition.
