Compared to any other period in history, wellness of mental health of an individual is emphasized in modern society. It is not easy to maintain self–identity and happiness in an intensely competitive society in which social phenomena run rapidly. People, as beings with emotions, live continuously by communicating their emotions through relationships. Habits of repeated outburst of negative emotions in individual are revealed through personality and behaviors. Emotion is contagious energy which shows psychological characteristic of an individual, and diversity of emotions is demonstrated through interactions with others. This paper considers the following: understanding emotions; examining the main cause and effects of negative emotions; following case studies on potential recovery of family members who suffered from negative emotions like anger, despair and depression. As many behaviors become habits, expressing emotions can also become habits. And this paper seeks to transform distorted emotions and to develop positive emotions through integrated christian methods. Transformation of emotions and communication are most important things in order to live as member of society.
