The purpose of this study is to analyze the experiential data related to low academic achievement of university students to provide information that can be used for Christian counselling. The study result based on the grounded theory was theologically analyzed again by applying the pastoral theology methodology based on the liberation theological feminism of Watkins Ali. The care methods in liberation theological Christian counseling are; understanding the socio–cultural context of the university students, expanding sympathy, cooperating with a community and providing with individual care and community care. Based on this approach, first, the experience of the participants within the socio–cultural context was understood from the viewpoint of an insider. Second, the Christian counselor had theological introspection on self. Then how the Christian counseling would be provided from the integral viewpoint, where the socio–cultural context of the university students and the pastoral approach of the Christian counselor meet, was discussed.
