This study explores how spiritual resource of adolescents can be assessed and utilized in youth counseling through case analysis. Among various definitions and concepts of spirituality, it focuses specifically on the spiritual intelligence that corresponds to the ability to use spiritual resources. Two out–of–school youths participated in the spirituality assessment. Spirituality assessment tools include a spiritual intelligence questionnaire and a “photo express,” a qualitative assessment. In order to examine the general psychological characteristics, Multifaceted Personality Test for Adolescents(MMPI–A) was conducted. The results of this study are as follows: First, spiritual resources can be identified through spiritual assessments. Second, spirituality of adolescents can be associated with everyday events. Third, in counseling, a concrete plan can be suggested to utilize spirituality as resources in everyday life. Based on these results, we suggest youth counseling that supports adolescents to develop spirituality as resources and utilize them to construct eschatological self, rather than a counseling which focuses mainly on the pathological issues.
