The purpose of this study is to seek strategies for providing systematic care for Christian families affected by suicide by identifying the difficulties they experienced after the suicide and tracing its impacts on the spirituality of the bereaved and the religious community as a whole. A phenomenological methodology was employed for this study and 11 Christian(Protestant) participants of the age of 19 or older were selected who lost a close and loved member of their family to suicide more than a year ago. The bereavement experience of Christian families affected by suicide is a “death the bereaved cannot freely talk about.” In particular, the bereaved are very reluctant to reveal the suicide of the deceased to the church community due to the stigma that Christianity has historically attached to it. Christian faith often becomes a burden that weighs more on suicide families, but it is also a source of reliance. Based on the outcome of the analysis, theological reflection was conducted in the methodology of Watkins Ali and a care plan for Christian families affected by suicide was presented.
