본 연구는 한국 기독(목회)상담의 역사를 개관하고 최근 연구동향을 분석함으로 한국 기독(목회)상담의 변화와 현 상태를 고찰하고 향후 연구방향성을 제시하기 위함이다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 한국 기독(목회)상담의 역사를 태동기(1950–1979), 성장기(1980–1999), 정체성 확립기(2000–현재)로 개관하고, 이 시기 활동한 주요학자들과 관련 학회 및 협회들을 포함한 다양한 기관들과 센터들의 현황을 정리하였다. 또한 한국 기독(목회)상담의 최근 연구동향의 분석을 위해 2010년부터 2018년까지 한국기독교상담심리학회의 「한국기독교상담학회지」에 게재된 288편의 논문과 한국목회상담협회의 「목회와 상담」에 게재된 179편의 논문을 합한 총 467편의 논문을 분석하여 정리하였다. 연구논문들은 논문의 제목, 내용, 초록, 키워드를 바탕으로 연구주제, 연구 대상, 연구 방법으로 분류되었으며, 그 결과 다양한 연구의 주제, 대상, 방법이 활용되었음이 나타났다. 이를 바탕으로 한국 기독(목회)상담의 현주소와 향후 연구방향성을 제시한다.
This study aims to retrospect the history of Christian(pastoral) counseling in Korea and analyze the current research trends of this field in order not only to review the development and current status, but also to present the future research suggests. For this purpose, this study makes periodical distinction of the history into three periods, the beginning period(1950–1979), the growing period(1980–1999), and the identity establishment period(2000–current) and presents major scholars and related institutions, associations, etc. in each period. In addition, this study analyzes 467 articles from 2010 to 2018, including both 288 articles in the Korean Journal of Christian Counseling and 179 articles in the Korean Journal of Pastoral Care and Counseling. As a result, this study finds out that various research topics, objects, and methods/methodologies have been used in this period and presents the current status of the field and the future research suggestions.
