Since its first appearance in Korean media in 1997, bullying has been a serious social issue, and the age of students involved in it is decreasing. Bullying experience in childhood when positive self–concept should be formed through evaluation and recognition within peer groups has very negative effects on victims’ psychological development and school and society adaptation. In this context, the present researcher studied 40 years of recovery from her own bullying experience in grade 4 of elementary school, using narrative inquiry, a qualitative research method. Research questions were ‘How did bullying experience form my life stories?’ and ‘How did spirituality experiences construct stories of recovery from bullying experience?’ The researcher intended to tell her spirituality experience of recovery from the pain of being bullied, through her bullying experience, life after it, and recovery from the experience. Finally, this study discussed meanings found in bullying experience and recovery from it.
