‘Eco-transition education’ is necessary so that students living in the era of climate disaster can learn about the interdependence with nature and ecological values and aim for a sustainable future. In order to prepare for ‘ecological environmental changes’, which is the main revision background of the 2022 revised curricu-lum general theory, ‘ecological transition values’ must be systematically reflected in education so that the natural ecosystem and human life can be balanced. Accordingly, this paper explored the meaning and content of ‘ecological transition education’ in the 2022 revised art curriculum and suggested directions for implementation in art education. To this end, we explored the development of art education based on eco-logical transition education, explored its purpose and necessity, and suggested the necessary capabilities and direction of lesson design for implementing ecological transition education in the 2022 revised art curriculum. We expect that this study will be helpful in art education research based on ecological transition education newly introduced in the curriculum.
