본 연구는 2022 개정 초등학교 통합교과 ‘즐거운 생활’의 음악 교육 강화를 위한 교과서 개선 방향을 제안하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 현행 ‘즐거운 생활’ 교과서의 음악 교육 내용을 분석하고, 초등학교 3~4학년 음악 교과서와의 연계성을 비교하였다. 분석 결과, ‘즐거운 생활’ 교과서에서는 음악 개념 학습이 체계적으로 이루어지지 않고 있으며, 기초 음악 요소의 교육이 부족하여 ‘즐거운 생활’과 초등학교 3~4학년군 사이에서 음악 학습이 단절되는 문제점이 발견되었다. 또한, 음악 활동이 주로 노래 부르기에 편중되어 있으며, 음악적 개념 학습 없이 단순 놀이 중심으로 구성되어 있어 심화 학습으로 이어지기 어려운 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 초등학교 3~4학년과의 연계성 강화를 위해 기초 음악 개념 학습을 포함하고, 음악 활동을 다양화하며, 악보 표기 방식과 교과서 구성 방안을 개선하는 방향을 제안하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 향후 ‘즐거운 생활’ 교과서의 부분 개정과 새로운 음악 교육과정 설계에 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
This study aims to propose directions for improving the textbook to strengthen music education in the 2022 revised elementary integrated curriculum, ‘Pleasant life’. To achieve this, the study analyzes the current music education content in the ‘Pleasant life’ textbook and examines its connection with the music textbook for third and fourth graders. The findings indicate that music concept learning in ‘Pleasant life’ is not systematically structured, and the lack of fundamental music element instruction results in a disconnect in music learning at the third and fourth-grade levels. Additionally, music activities are predominantly focused on singing, with an emphasis on play-based activities rather than structured music concept learning, making it difficult for students to engagein deeper learning. Therefore, this study suggests improvements such as incorporating fundamental music concept learning, diversifying music activities, and enhancing the notation system and textbook structure to strengthen continuity with the third and fourth-grade curriculum. The results of this study can serve as a foundational resource for future revisions of the ‘Pleasant life’ textbook and the development of a new music education curriculum.
