본 연구는 시각중복장애학생에게 시각ᆞ촉각 단서를 제공한 요리활동이 수학영역의 측정 개념 형성에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 본 연구에서 설정한 측정 개념은 세 가지로 길이, 무게, 들이이다. 연 구 대상은 충청북도 C맹학교에 재학 중이며 시각장애와 뇌병변장애를 가지고 있어 시각장애, 지체장애, 지적장애가 중복된 장애학생 3명이다. 시각ᆞ촉각 단서를 제공한 요리활동은 12가지로 총 17회기 동안 주 2회 9주간에 걸쳐 적용하였으며, 대상자간 중다간헐 기초선 설계로 중재의 효과를 입증하였다. 시각 단서는 바늘의 움직임을 알 수 있도록 요리저울에 붙인 색인테이프이며, 촉각단서는 100ml, 200ml, 300ml, 400ml 들이를 알 수 있도록 계량컵에 붙인 벨크로테이프이다. 연구 결과, 시각ᆞ촉각 단서를 제 공한 요리활동은 시각중복장애학생의 길이, 무게 및 들이 개념 형성에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다.
This paper reports the effect of cooking activities including visual and tactile cues on mathematical measurement concept of students with multiple disabilities. The measurement concepts in the study are length, weight, and volume. The participants are three multiple-handicapped children with visual impairment and brain lesions in C school for the blind in Chungbuk. Twelve cooking activities including visual and tactile cues were applied 17 times distributed over nine weeks. Research design was multiple probe design across subjects. Visual cues are index tapes on a cooking scale, which help notice the movement of the hand of the scale. Tactile cues are Velcro tapes on a measuring cup indicating volume. The results demonstrate that the cooking activities including visual and tactile cues had a positive effect on multiplehandicapped children’s formation of the measurement concepts of length, weight, and volume.
