이 연구는 시각장애노인들의 생활만족도의 수준과 이에 영향을 미치는 요인을 밝혀냄으로써 시각장애 노인들의 생활만족도를 향상시킬 수 있는 방안을 모색하기 위한 기초자료를 제공하는데 목적이 있다. 이 러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여 55세 이상 시각장애노인 182명의 자료를 토대로 분석하였으며, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 시각장애노인들의 생활만족도는 보통 수준이었으며, 재가복지서비스 이용 정도는 사 회복지시설 이용보다 상대적으로 높게 나타났고, 여가활동 참여 정도는 매우 낮게 나타났다. 둘째, 인구 사회학적 특성과 장애특성에 따른 생활만족도의 차이를 분석한 결과, 시각장애노인의 가구원 수, 직업 유 무, 장애정도, 재활보조기구 사용 유무에서 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 셋째, 시각장애노인의 생 활만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 성별, 월평균 가구소득, 여가활동 참여 정도, 재가복지서비스 이용 정도가 통계적으로 유의미하게 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 기초로 시각장애노인의 생활만족도를 향상하기 위한 사회복지적인 실천방안을 모색하고자 한다.
The purpose of this study is to provide with basic information required for improving life satisfaction of elderly visually impaired by finding out the life satisfaction level of elderly visually impaired and factors that have impact on life satisfaction. In order to achieve the study purpose, information of 182 elderly visually impaired with ages of 55 or more had been analyzed. The results are as following. First, the life satisfaction of elderly visually impaired was on intermediate level and elderly visually impaired use home-based welfare service relatively more than social welfare organizations. Their participation extent in leisure activities is very low. Second, according to the analysis results based on demographic characteristics and differences in life satisfaction dependent on disability characteristics, there were statistically significant differences in the number of family members, whether elderly visually impaired has a job or not and whether elderly visually impaired uses a rehabilitation assisting device or not. Third, regarding the factors which have impact on the life satisfaction of elderly visually impaired, factors such as gender, monthly average household income, extent of leisure activities participation and extent of using home-based welfare service were statistically significant. An action plan from the viewpoint of social welfare to improve the life satisfaction of elderly visually impaired will be sought based on these results.
