이 연구는 수학게임 활동이 시각장애유아의 수학 문제해결능력과 수학적 태도에 미치는 효과를 알아보 기 위하여 수행되었다. 이 연구에는 A시에 거주하고 있는 만 4-5세의 시각장애유아 3명이 참여하였다. 연구 대상 시각장애유아들은 일주일에 2번씩 10주 간 패턴, 분류, 서열, 수 개념, 측정, 시간, 공간과 같 은 주요 수학적 개념이 포함되어 있는 수학게임 활동 중재를 받았으며, 유아용 수학 문제해결능력검사와 유아용 수학적 태도 검사를 사전-사후에 실시하여 프로그램의 효과를 검증하였다. 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 수학게임 활동은 시각장애유아의 수학 문제해결능력을 향상시켰다. 둘째, 수학게임 활동은 시 각장애유아의 수학적 태도에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다.
This study is on the effects of mathematical game activities on mathematical problem solving ability and attitude toward mathematics of young children with visual impairment. For this purpose, the following research question was formulated : How do the mathematical game activities influence on mathematical problem solving abilities of young children’ with visual impairments? How do the mathematical game activities influence on attitude toward mathematics of young children’ with visual impairments? The subjects of this study were 3 young children with visual impairments who were 4-5 years old in A city. The major findings of this study were as follows: First, mathematical game activities was improved the abilities of mathematical problem solving. Second, mathematical game activities had positive influence on attitude toward mathematics. As a result, the mathematical game activities had the positive influences on the mathematical problem solving abilities and attitude toward mathematics of young children with visual impairments.
