With the national efforts to develop human resources, today's education
environment is rapidly changing. Learning environment supported by
information and communication technology is transforming into lifelong and
opened learning environment. This new environment not only supports
learning actively, but also organizes and supervises learners dynamically. In
order to develop human resources, expansions on education have been
actualized, thanks to the highly popularized and advanced technology.
This study views that e-learning is one way to actively aid in learning.
Therefore, in order to activate it, educators who take charge of learning
process should reconsider the perception of e-learning. From this point,
researcher surveyed educators' perception of e-learning in 5 parts. First,
necessity of e-learning class, Second, effects of e-learning, Third, causes of
participation & non-participation in e-learning class, Fourth, requirements
in managing e-learning class and Fifth, activation of e-learning in lifelong
education.
According to a recent survey, researcher suggests several ideas. First,
the enhancing strategy program for educators to internalize the concept of e-learning. Second, construction of easily accessible and user-friendly
environment for e-learning class. Third, utilize various systems to help
educators concentrate on subject message expert role and instructional
designer role. Fourth, develop motivation to encourage educator's
participation. Fifth, find active usage of blended learning. Sixth, develop
customized and tailored e-learning programs for adult learners and expand
interaction of e-learning contents between universities.
