이 연구는 경남에 거주하는 있는 1,182명의 결혼이주여성을 대상으로 성인으로서의 교육경험과 문화적응과의 관계를 밝히고자 하였다. 연구결과 결혼이주여성에게 제공되고 있는 성인교육의 영역은 주로 한국어와 한국문화이해이고, 직업교육 및 취미여가 교육은 부족한 것으로 나타났다. 인구사회학적 변인으로는 학력에 따라 사회문화적응때 차이가 나는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 결혼이주여성의 문화적응에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 한국어 실력과 평생교육 경험이 유의한 변인으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 결혼이주여성에게 성인으로서의 교육경험은 한국문화에 적응을 용이하게 하는 중요한 요인이므로 평생교육 참여율을 제고하도록 하고, 지속적이고 다양한 프로그램을 제공하여야 할 것이다.
This study examines the 1,182 international wives who married Korean man and live in Gyeongnam Province. Their participation in life-long education is almost Korean and the Korean culture. The lack of their attending is vocational training and hobby and leisure classes. There is a difference of sociocultural adaptation scale according to their educational background. The factors that influence to the level of sociocultural adaptation scale are Korean ability and life-long learning experiences. In conclusion, as the adult learning experience is very important factor for international wives to facilitate the adaptation of Korean culture, their participating rate should be raised. The community would give the learning opportunity to them continuously and variously.
