The purpose of this study is to investigate the relation of educational gerontology with successful aging. Successful aging is to understand the value of quality for happy life instead of the value of quantity of life time. The life of adult learning by andragogy will achieve by successful aging as the best way for quality of life. Successful aging means the process of successful life and it involves physical health, satisfaction through social achievement, peaceful mental condition and the others. For successful aging should be effort to learn everyday life, and life should be self-directed learning life itself. Learning is instinctive desire and way to live happy life and health. Happy life is andragogy life, and they who are living self-directed learning life for andragogy are called as Homo Eruditio. Educational gerontology indicates andragogy for successful aging and it is recognized to involve educational method for successful aging. In conclusion, first of all, educational life for adults based on andragogy should be achieved by successful aging. Secondly, happy life for successful aging is possible through desire for learning of Homo Erudito. Thirdly, adult educational methods for successful aging involve emotion and somatic knowing, communities of practice and spiritual learning beside self-directed learning. Fourthly, educational gerontology is recognized as one of andragogy for successful aging. Fifthly, successful aging is necessary for educational effort on education for older adults, education about older adults and aging and education by older adults from life-span development point of view of older adults. Lastly, for successful aging should be needed interdisciplinary approach among physiology, medical science and educational gerontology.
