daily schedule of the kindergarten and explores the meaning of their compliment speech act throughout the day. For this purpose, a repetitive qualitative research collecting and analyzing the data on participant observation, individual and group interviews, and teacher's training program had been carried out with 5 teachers in I kindergarten. Firstly, The results showed that the compliment speech act of early childhood education teachers differed with respect to situation and context and continuously occurred. Secondly, the two cases of meaning of early childhood education teachers' compliment speech act were demonstrated; those who over-complimented and those who only responded to the requests(of children wanting to be complimented and parents and teachers themselves). This study suggests that there are the needs to explore and shed new light on the negative compliment speech act early childhood education teachers use in the field and to set forth the desirable compliment speech act.
