The aim of this study is in order to provide the proper music therapy to
impaired children. Knowing about the management system of music therapy
and the perception and demands of teachers who educated impaired children
so that it tries to find an improvement of music therapy for impaired children.
The results and the conclusions based on discussion show that:
First, Although the actual condition of music therapy for impaired children
has high interest, actually there are less opportunities of the service training of
music therapy and education on the scene and rarely carry out the music
therapy as well. Second, Teachers perceive that the main music therapy
activities for impaired children are playing the musical instruments or listening
to music and they say affirmingly that it needs music therapy for impaired
children. And it has not only effect on their action adjustment and
improvement but also it has effect on elevation in several area including their
language, society, intelligence, learning, exercise. In addition, it helps their
stability of emotion, rises their self-respect, express their own feelings, check
others\' feeling that can effect on their communication so that music therapy
program should act in special educated schools. And its aim include both the
education and therapy. It shows that special education homeroom teachers\'
perception about music therapy is higher than the teachers who are working in
special educated schools. Third, there are some problems about music therapy
for impaired children. It does not have various programs for them, lacking of
musical instruments and facilities and treating a lot of impaired children
simultaneously. In order to improve these things, expanding the musical
treatment facilities, economic supporting from the government, teachers\'
perceptional improvement of music therapy, parents of students as well.
Besides, to carry out effective music therapy, individual therapy needs to keep
pace with group therapy, regarding its limit the number of persons.
