The purpose of this study was to explore the way for resolving the issues of
assessment modification for students with disabilities. In order to achieve the purpose,
general issues and psychometric issues of assessment modification for students with
disabilities analyzed through literature review. The result of study were as follows.
First, general issues of assessment modification for students with disabilities were
equitability of assessment modification, the subject of assessment modification, and
choice of assessment modification method. general issues of assessment modification
for students with disabilities. Resolving of this issues required a collaboration between
the general education teachers and special education and research for methods and
criteria of assessment modification.
Second, psychometric issues of assessment modification for student with disabilities
were effectiveness of modified assessment method, reliability and validity of
assessment implementation, pre assessment of assessment related skills. psychometric
issues of assessment modification for student with disabilities. Resolving of this issues
required pre-measurement of compensation skills and abilities for assessment and
research for objectivity for assessment etc.
In order to assess academic achievement of students with disabilities properly,
studies of the ways for resolving the issues of assessment modification for student
with disabilities are needed.
