This study purposed to know about the influences of a family system factor; parent-child communication
type, and a personal system factor; children\'s anger on their adaptation of school life. Subjects for the research
were 511 students in 5th and 6th grade from three elementary schools in Seoul who were living with their
parents. The data analysis was made with SPSS 18.0 and its results can be seen below. First, some
demographic variables such as children\'s gender, grade and mothers\' education influenced children\'s school
adaptation. Second, children who have had open communication with their parents showed high level of school
adaptation; such as making relations with teachers and friends, adapting classes and rules at schools. Third,
children who had high level of anger in authority relationships showed lower level of school adaptation than
others. Forth, parent-child communication types had bigger relevance with adaptation than anger.
