The development of digital technology and the change of educational environment based on digital technology are requiring some major changes in museum-education. Particularly, e-learning is drawing attentions as the new method of museum education with the rising concept of lifelong-education and educations-society. In this research, through case studies of 6 advanced museums who are practicing museum educations based on e-learning, we try to find a way to vitalize e-learning based museum education in korea. We will be able to increase the educational function of a museum both in quality and in quantity through the diverse functions of e-learning, considering that both museum education and e-learning consist in a learner -oriented environment.
