This study was established to standardize the CPM(Coloured Progressive Matrices) of Raven Progressive Matrices series for Korean children. The sample of 2,049 children bet ween the age of three and ten years was selected in the nursery home, the kindergarten and the primary school. The standard score was obtained as percentile scores in terms of 6 months. The result of percentile scores was higher than American and England children about 10-20 percentiles, but was similar to Taiwan children. The ratio of correct response for each CPM item was discussed on relating to the cognitive level. Test-retest reliability for the CPM was 0.74 which was gathered to a subsample at one month interval. Internal consistency reliability Cronbach's alpha was 0.83. These results suggested that the CPM test, in some respect, could be applied to evaluate the intellectual ability for Korean child ren.
